Square the corners of the frame and onto each corner lay one of the pieces of 1/4” luan or plywood and secure in place using 3/4” staples as shown:

Flip the frame right side up and using clamps to temporarily secure in place; place the 1”x2” pieces of wood on top by first placing the shorter pieces on the seam side of the frame overlapping into the center by approximately 1/4” then place the longer pieces above and below the shorter pieces as shown; making sure that the longer pieces are overlapping the seams on the  lower front part of the frame and are 1/4” from the edge.

Flip the frame over to confirm that your 1”x2” pieces of wood are overlapping approximately 1/4” into the center of the frame as shown.

Make any adjustments needed and then secure the front frame onto the back frame using 1 1/4” brad nails nailed in from the backside of the frame as shown.

Stain or paint your frame and attach a sawtooth picture hanger, centered, 1/4” down from top back of frame. Insert your mounted Fabric Wall Art into opening of frame and secure with 1 1/4” brad nails into sidewalls of frame.
